Fred Harvey
The Davistown Museum has a number of Native American
artifacts that originated from the collection of Fred Harvey (1835 - 1901),
the famous restaurateur of Leavenworth, KS. These artifacts were
obtained from his grandson, Byron Harvey, now a resident of Boston, when
he closed his Cambridge, MA, estate in the late 1980s. Dwayne Anthony,
a former dealer in paintings and Native American artifacts, of Cambridge,
MA and a patron of The Davistown Museum was instrumental in obtaining these
and other artifacts for the Jonesport Wood Co., Inc. The items listed
below are now on loan to The Davistown Museum.
