93004A1 Samuel Slater's Mills at Pawtucket LPC MH
ca. 1820, oil on board, unsigned, 12 1/2" wide, 9 1/4" high, gold frame 1 1/2" wide. photo
This is a view of Samuel Slater's first mill, located under the bridge to the right. The mill was destroyed a few years after
this was painted. The larger brick mills located above the falls help date this historic painting to 1815 - 1820. This painting
was found in a South Middleboro, MA, attic on a tool call in 2001.
